Two useful details for one holding
For precious metals, a currency value alone may not tell the whole story. FIRE Paycheck lets you record both a current value and a current quantity. That makes it easier to maintain a personal record of gold, silver, or other holdings measured by weight or units.
Update the information you know
At a monthly check-in, enter the value and quantity you want reflected in your snapshot. You can also record net contributions or withdrawals so a change in your holding is not confused with a change in its value.
No live price claim
FIRE Paycheck does not fetch live gold or silver prices. You supply the current value yourself, based on whichever source and method you prefer. The app is designed for manual tracking, not a real-time quote service.
Keep metals in the wider picture
Precious metals can sit alongside cash, investments, and custom categories in your account structure. Monthly snapshots give you a consistent way to review the overall asset picture while retaining the quantity detail that matters for metals.
Record value and quantity
Use a monthly snapshot to keep your precious-metal holdings clear and current.
