Not every tracker needs a daily feed
Some people want a detailed expense record. Others mainly want to know how their overall assets are changing. FIRE Paycheck is for the second job: a manual monthly net worth tracker that keeps the focus on assets and a regular check-in.
Create the structure once
Set up the accounts and categories that match your life, including cash, investments, precious metals, and custom categories. On the next check-in, previous values are carried forward. You update only the figures that changed, then save a monthly snapshot.
See a useful history
Monthly snapshots create a simple record of your values over time. That can be easier to review than a stream of daily transactions, especially when the question is whether your asset base is moving in the direction you expect.
Manual and local-first
FIRE Paycheck does not connect to banks or automatically import balances. You enter values yourself, which lets you choose the cadence and scope of your record. It is a tracking tool, not a daily budgeting system or a financial advisory service.
Keep a monthly snapshot
Use the same account structure each month and update only what changed.
